Enjoying Paris without going bankrupt

Many will agree that Paris is one of the most beautiful, exciting and
romantic cities in the world.

Hosting 12 million visitors a year, Paris is a favored location for many
people who come to enjoy the city's majestic beauty, countless museums,
advanced food culture and numerous unique shopping opportunities.

One can easily get lost in this great abundance of attractions, many of
which are quite costly.

You don't have to be a millionaire in order to enjoy Paris, really. There
are many ways to enjoy the city even with a rather modest budget.

In this post, we'll take a look at five fair-priced attractions the City of
Lights has to offer:

1. The Louvre
The halls of this world-famous museum host spectacular treasures
representing three thousand years of human history, art and creation.

A visit to the museum costs 9 euros per adult, and is completely
free for children under the age of 17, which makes it a perfect
attraction if you're in Paris with children.

Entry is free of charge every first Sunday each month. Keep in
mind that the queue in these days can get very long, very early,
so you better get there as early as you can and bring a book.

2. Flea Markets
Paris has several bustling, lovely flea markets. The most well-known
is the one in Porte de Clignancourt, officially called Les Puces de
Saint-Ouen, but known to everyone as Les Puces (The Fleas).

The flea markets offer antiques, vintage fashion items and much more
at relatively low prices, at least in compare with the boutique shops
downtown.

3. Le Gaigne
Le Gaigne is a charming small place offering traditional French
cuisine, located at 12 rue Pecquay. It's obvious that this
restaurant pays much attention to the small but  important details
of it's dishes.

A five course meal will cost you about 39 euros, a very fair pricefor a restaurant in a city renowned for it's cuisine.

4. Cathedrale de Notre-Dame
The cathedral is a spectacular specimen of gothic architecture. It
was immortalized in the works of many artists.

Majestic even in the cartoon Disney version of Victor Hugo's
classic novel "The hunchback of Notre-Dame", it's even more
impressive in real life!

Entry to the cathedral is free, while climbing on the famous bell
tower costs just 7.5 euros per adult and 4.8 euros for retirees
and those under 25. Children under the age of 5 can enter
freely.

5. Just walk in the streets!
One of the most enjoyable things to do while in Paris is just
to take your time and stroll the picturesque, romantic streets
of the city.

Either walk along the seine river or explore the Marais
district, this old-fashioned activity is the best way to
really discover the special atmosphere of the city.
And as an extra, it's even good for your health!
